7th International Conference of Artists-Teachers “Modern Art Education of Children and the Young”

The conference is to be held on February 3-7, 2016 immediately after the jury of the 11th International Art and Graphics Contest “In My Homeland” completes its work.

We invite teachers and lecturers of fine arts, managers of art educational establishments, art critics, publishers, and all other stakeholders.

The conference’s tasks:

  • To discuss pressing issues of art education;
  • To provide a platform for sharing experiences among practicing teachers;
  • To establish cooperation between art institutions.

A new topic of the conference is animated cartoons and peculiarities of creation of animated films. As in previous years, particular attention will be paid on the artistic part of the process.

Traditionally, the conference’s programme will include:

  • Reviewpart which will include reports on amateur animation studios, presentation of animation schools and studios, educational art establishments and art studios that have sent works to take part in “In My Homeland” contest;
  • Practical part: a cycle of thematic master classes “We Decided to Make a Cartoon: What Should We Begin With?”, master classes on various spheres of art education;
  • Discussionpart: speeches on relevant topics presented by the participants of the conference, discussion of the heritage of outstanding artists-teachers.

The programme of the conference also includes visiting art institutions in Minsk, as well as museums, galleries and art exhibitions.
