Contest “In My Homeland” Took Place in Kiev

“In My Homeland” International Contest winning works exhibition opened on July 1 in the exhibition hall of the Leonid Kuchma’s Presidential Fund “Ukraina”. More than 100 works from Belarus, Russia, the Ukraine and other countries are presented in the exposition.

In the opening ceremony participated the Ambassador of Belarus in the Ukraine Valentin VELICHKO, head of the Presidential Fund “Ukraina” Leonid KUCHMA, representatives of the cultural and art spheres, teachers and students of the Ukrainian art schools.

When opening the exhibition Leonid KUCHMA expressed special gratitude to Belarusian organizers for holding such a wonderful contest, which united the art work of young talents from different countries.

“These children will become talented grown-ups, who will glorify our countries in the world”, – noted the former president of the Ukraine.

Contest organizers presented album-catalogues to the Leonid Kuchma’s Fund and the Embassy of Belarus in the Ukraine.

At the opening ceremony medals and diplomas were awarded to the winners of the VIth International Art and Graphics Contest from the Ukrainian towns (Kerch, Nezhin, Odessa, Chernigov and Shostka).
