12th International Children’s Drawings Contest “The Slavonic Spring” (Klaipeda, Lithuania)

Klaipeda school after Andrei Rublev invites everyone to enter the 12^th International Children’s Drawings Contest “The Slavonic Spring” dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius.

The term of works submission is over

THE TASKS OF THE CONTEST:

• promote children’s interest in national culture, history and Christian relics
• acquaint children with moral and spiritual values of their country
• promote children’s aesthetic and creative education
• help teachers exchange their pedagogical experience
• improve international relations

CONTEST THEMES:

• History of Christianity
• History of native country
• Images of eminent men in culture and education
• Christian relics and nature of Homeland

SEPARATE NOMINATIONS:

• The life of Great Duke Vladimir Equal to Apostle (illustrations)
• The Twelve Great Feasts
• “Beauty of the Homeland”

COMPETITORS:

All children in the four age groups shown below are encouraged to participate in the Contest:

• 6 to 7 years;
• 8 to 10 years;
• 11 to 13 years;
• 14 to 16 years.

Every competitor can send up to three drawings, created in any technique. Graphic arts and brushwork will be nominated separately. Art schools, basic schools and Sunday schools will be nominated separately. Author’s name, surname, age, title of the work, address, teacher’s name and surname should be written in English or Russian languages on the backside of the drawing. It is necessary to enclose the list of drawings included, name of the school, postal and email address. The art works sent to the contest will not be returned.

Drawings should be sent before the 30th of March 2015.

RESULTS OF THE CONTEST:

The final result of the Contest will be announced on the 24th of May 2015, on Saints Cyril and Methodius Day. The authors of the best drawings will be rewarded by diplomas and letters of Honourable mention. Diplomas will be sent before the 30th of November 2015.
