Exhibition “Dialogue of Centuries: 1812-2012” opened in Minsk

The first exhibition hall that welcomed the exposition “Dialogue of Centuries: 1812-2012” in Minsk was the Gallery of Internet portal TUT.BY.

The exposition is comprised of 40 works executed in different techniques and genres by Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian artists. This exhibition is the result of a year-long international project “Dialogue of Centuries: 1812-1912”.

Guests were greeted by the coordinator of Green Cross Belarus projects Natalya SVYATKINA, Deputy Head of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Minsk, First Secretary of the Embassy of Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus Elena MASLOVA, owner of the club-manor “Bivak” from Borisov Sergey TOLSTIK and head of the artistic group of the project, teacher of the Mogilev city children’s art school Dmitriy PUHOVSKIY.

In her speech Elena MASLOVA highlighted the topicality and demand for artwork of youth and suggested to hold the exhibition of the Project “Dialogue of Centuries” as well in Russian Centres of Science and Culture in Russia, CIS countries, France, Italy and Germany.

The mood of the opening was to a great extent shaped by the legendary Minsk improvisational group “Knyaz Myshkin”. At the end of the ceremony was for the first time presented the video film by Olga ELAGINA and Semen SHEVTSOV “Dialogue of Centuries: 1812-2012”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LP6lwEXoT9A

The exhibition will be open until October 23, 2012.
