6th International Conference of Artists-Teachers “Modern Art Education of Children and Youth”

The Conference is to be held on 6-7 February, 2015, in Minsk, immediately after the completion of the jury’s work within the framework of the 10th International Competition of painting and graphics "In My Homeland."

We invite teachers and lecturers of fine arts, heads of art schools, art historians, publishers and all the interested people to take part in the Conference.

The main goal of the Conference is to discuss pressing issues of art education, give an opportunity of learning about the current situation from colleagues, exchange experiences, and improve collaboration between art schools.

Traditionally the programme of the Conference is to include:

  • REVIEW SECTION which include presentations of art schools, international art competitions and projects from different countries.
  • METHODOLOGICAL SECTION which is going to combine speeches of experienced teachers from different countries who are ready to share practices with colleagues.
  • DISCUSS SECTION is devoted to discussion of relevant topics related to art education.

Within the framework of the Conference, the presentation of Yerevan State Art Academy (Armenia) is to be held, and the exhibition of works from the collections of the Academy, dedicated to its 70th anniversary, is to be inaugurated. Other exhibitions confined to the Conference are to present works of the pupils of Children’s School of Fine Arts, Vitebsk, Family Art Project “Shape and colour game”, Donetsk, as well as works of the participants of the 2nd Belarusian plein-air/workshop for art teachers which took place in Mozyr in October, 2014.
